A Complete Guide For 189 Visa Australia
Australia’s visa subclass 189 is a highly sought-after pathway for individuals aspiring to make the Land Down Under their new home. This comprehensive guide aims to shed light on the intricacies of the 189 Visa application process, providing valuable insights and tips for a successful immigration journey.
Understanding the 189 Visa
The 189 Visa is designed for skilled workers who have the qualifications and skills that Australia needs. It is a points-based system, emphasizing the applicant’s skills, age, and proficiency in the English language. Unlike other visas, the 189 Visa does not require sponsorship from an employer, family member, or state/territory government, providing applicants with more independence in their migration journey.
Key Requirements
To successfully navigate the 189 Visa application process, it’s crucial to meet the following requirements:
- Occupation Skills Assessment: Applicants must undergo a skills assessment relevant to their nominated occupation. This process ensures that their qualifications and experience align with Australian standards.
- Expression of Interest (EOI): Candidates need to submit an EOI through the SkillSelect system, indicating their interest in the 189 Visa. The points system comes into play here, considering factors like age, English language proficiency, and work experience.
- Invitation to Apply (ITA): Upon receiving a high enough score in the points-based system, applicants may receive an ITA to submit their visa application. It’s crucial to act promptly at this stage, as the ITA has a limited validity period.
- Health and Character Requirements: All applicants must meet health and character standards, including undergoing health examinations and providing police clearance certificates.
